It’s often said that people are reluctant to buy self-published titles because of the poor quality of the editing and design. At Publish-Me! we give you access to editors and designers, all of whom have many years experience in commercial publishing and production, so you can rely on receiving good results.

Editors

Jessica

Jessica has over 15 years’ editing experience and has worked on more than 100 fiction and non-fiction titles. Specialising in non-fiction, fiction, children’s books and encyclopaedias, Jess has particular interest in manuscripts focussing on the environment, history, travel, health and law. In addition to her editing qualifications, Jessica holds a BA (Communications/History), Hons (History). She is also the author several non-fiction books.

Nick

Nick is a freelance writer and editor based in Sydney. He is an Accredited Editor with the Institute of Professional Editors and a member of the Society of Editors, NSW. Nick specialises in government and corporate editing. He previously had a 14-year diplomatic career with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Lorraine

Lorraine has been a freelance editor since 2000, specialising in academic writing. She has a PhD in literature from Trinity College, Dublin and a non-traditional PhD from UTS. She is the editor of a collection of writings by the late environmental philosopher Val Plumwood, The Eye of the Crocodile, and is joint editor of the Australasian Journal of Ecocriticism. She is a member of Kangaloon creative ecologies, www.kangaloon.org.

Siobhan

Siobhan is a writer and editor skilled in both US- and UK-styles of English. With a well-rounded background including corporate finance, Siobhan, a former spelling champion, brings diligent attention to detail, strong grammatical skills, an ear for authentic character dialogue and an eye for overall prose flow to bear when editing your manuscript.

Rosemary

Rosemary is a qualified editor with an extensive health and adult education background. What makes her different is her experience and academia which means she brings an extensive range of skills to the editing profession and her love of the written word.

Design

Lisa

Lisa has worked as a graphic designer for almost 20 years in Australia, Dubai and the UK. Lisa started out as an industrial designer but quickly moved into graphic design. She has worked for both multinational and boutique agencies, including Saatchi & Saatchi, The Campaign Palace and Holy Cow! as well as the Australian National Maritime Museum.

Sebastian

Sebastian has 10 years experience as layout artist, typesetter and graphic designer working for local newspapers, publishing houses, and a German translation company. He is our InDesign guru.

Kara

Kara has over 10 years experience as a Web Designer/Developer. She has worked with a number of small- to medium-sized businesses, large corporate, government and charitable organisations, where she has been responsible for developing a diverse range of projects. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Graphic Design & Multimedia. Her enthusiasm for learning extends to keeping current with new technologies.
